V3.1 Extruder Manual Updates
Those who follow the V3.1 extruder manual may have some notes, tips or corrections on the various steps. This is the place to share them all! New builders can use this section as an addendum or for clarification. There are also many tips on specific build steps in the forum, blog and here in the wiki. Please avoid describing mods that are not absolutely necessary to get a good working extruder, but please do add links to your special mods.

Note that a flat should be filed onto the stepper shaft as on P14. The flat does not really have to span the whole shaft. It is enough if it at the place where the gear-wheel will sit.
Before filing put some sticky tape around the shaft where it comes out of the housing. Filed away swarf could be dragged into the motor by the magnets and damage it.
